*Bob Marcucci*

I began my drum life by playing in the school jazz
band when I was 11, I continued playing through high
school and college and started gigging seriously after
college.  I am influenced by everything I ever heard,
but my major influences are/were Zigaboo Modeliste of
the Meters, Bonham, Steve Gadd, Buddy Rich, Dennis
Chambers, all the James Brown drummers, Miles Davis,
Stanton Moore, Tony Allen of Fela Kuti, Stevie Wonder
and Prince to name a few.  I try serve the song
tastefully and channel the energy of the room, blurring
the lines between jazz, funk, rock, and reggae.  Most
importantly, I want to see people shake their
tail-feathers! I've been playing drums for 20 years and
gigging locally for 8.
